Billy Jo currently lives in our "Senior Cat" room since it is quieter and the cats are a bit more laid back. The volunteers have spent a long time socializing her and helping build her confidence. While she has made a lot of progress, she is still very very timid. Once she feels comfortable and trusts you she can be sweet, and enjoys gentle petting and chin scratches. Although Billy is affectionate she can still be jumpy and fearful around people she knows and is familiar with. She is easily spooked by fast movements and loud noises.

We feel it would be best for an adopter to make multiple visits so Billy can become familiar with them as she is cautious around strangers and will likely not make an immediate connection upon first meeting.

Billy has a playful side as well, she enjoys wand toys and bouncy balls. Sometimes she can be so active and playful that she actually frightens herself.

Billy Jo can coexist with other cats. Since she is so timid she has a tendency to be picked on by other cats. She would be ok in a home with another cat as long as they are respectful and gave her some space.

She has never been around children or a dog but due to her timid personality we think that might be too overwhelming for her.

Due to Billy Jo's timid nature she would do best in a quiet, low stress home with a cat savy, experienced adopter.

Billy Jo is spayed, current on vaccinations (Rabies and Distemper) and has tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia.
