Meet Nero! This handsome man is about 1 year old. He was found as a stray in Rochester, a good samaritan found him on the street having a seizure, he was rushed to an emergency vet where they discovered a greasy substance on the fur on the back of his neck. It was believed that he was suffering from a flea medication toxicity. Nero spent a few days at the clinic recovering before he was taken in by the Verona Street Animal Society.  

Unfortunately Nero was never claimed so now he's searching for a new forever home. He spent some time at the Verona shelter before they felt he would have a better chance at adoption at Tabby Town. He has been a Tabby Town resident since August of 2018. 

Nero is a sweet boy. He likes attention, but usually on his own terms. Once he’s done, he’ll let you know. Nero doesn’t always present himself in the best manner, he can get overstimulated pretty easily so meet and greets with potential adopters seem to cause him to become overstimulated which then result in him reacting negatively. 

Nero does not like other cats, so he will need to be the only cat in the home. Due to his personality he should also be in an adult only home with no small children. 

Nero just needs a space and family that will allow him to blossom into the best version of himself. 

Nero would do best in a low stress home with prior cat experience, no small children, and no other cats.

Nero is neutered, current on vaccinations (Rabies and Distemper) and has tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia
