Skittles is a special needs adoption. She was found abandoned in the basement of a building. She is very timid in nature and has been a resident at Tabby Town since 2016. We were able to socialize her and we have been working to get her more comfortable with us. This has paid off! Skittles now enjoys being petted and plays with toys. She will approach you when she wants attention and she likes her chow, especially canned food. Skittle is still skittish and will require an acclimation period in a new home. She has lived around other cats for all of her time at Tabby Town and although she is more confident, she is a bit of a bully toward other female cats. She would do best in a home with no small children and may also do best in a home with no other cats. She has never been around a dog. Skittles will need an experienced adopter. She is diagnosed with ceruminous gland hyperplasia. These glands, located in the ear, may cause debris with impact the ear canal which could lead to infections. Periodic ear checks from a vet are required.
