Nena has been with us for awhile and for some reason that we don’t know, has been passed over. She was 1 of 5 cats that came to us from the kill shelter in New York City. Nena had been taken there at the age of 11 because her owner had passed away. It’s so sad to think that after being in her own home for so long, she now had everything she knew taken away from her.
Nena is a beautiful cat, with beautiful markings. She would like to be the only pet in the home, preferring to have you all to yourself. She has come a long way since she has been here. We think that perhaps being around all the other cats had made her a bit grumbly at times in the beginning, but she has mellowed a lot since she has been here.
One way to Nena’s heart is through her stomach!! She loves wet food and treats. Another way is through having a conversation-she is quite the chatty girl. We are hoping that she finds a home soon so that she can have what every cat would like to have-a bed, a window, a person to call their own, and in Nena’s case a lot of treats!!
