The story of Lightning is one that you have heard before and unfortunately it’s one that you will hear many times again. This handsome boy was surrendered when their owner passed away. They were brought in by two very caring individuals. It is great that there are groups that can help out in these situations. It has to be so hard for cats to be separated from their loved ones.

 
Lightning is about 12 years old.he is all black. 
 
He has adapted to their temporary home with us extremely well. He is very open to affection and attention both giving and receiving it. He is a very sweet and calm cats. He is very outgoing and  acts like he has been staying with us for months and not days. He seems to be very adaptable and this most likely means that he would be able to adjust to his new home without any major issues.  
 
Don’t overlook the older cats when looking to adopt. With older cats you already know their personalities so there are usually no big surprises. They seem so appreciative and have so much love to share with you.
