We don’t really know how Rusty ended up homeless but we are glad that he was rescued off the streets and brought to Tabby Town so that he may start a new chapter of his life. Rusty is a orange cat with gorgeous green eyes. He is about 8-9 years old. We wanted to get him a thorough medical check up so until an appointment was available a Tabby Team member took him home and fostered him. He has been medically cleared and is now ready to find his forever home.
Rusty is a laid back and mellow kitty. He can adapt to new surroundings with ease. His foster mom says he just walked right in and it was as if he had been living with her forever! She has other cats and Rusty is fine with them all.
He prefers to come over and sit next to you instead of on your lap. Sometimes he will just sit on the arm rest to be near you. His favorite thing to do is to just sit in the window and watch for birds or just sleep in the sun. We think Rusty would make a wonderful companion cat.
You won’t see Rusty in the store because his foster Mom has decided to keep him with her until he gets a home. You hear so much about foster failures and as much as she would like to keep him, she wants him to find a home so it will leave a spot open for another cat who needs a temporary foster home.
