Their mother was a stray who realized she need help and brought them to the caretakers of a feral colony of cats. They were all trapped, including the mama cat. They went into foster care and were put into an upstairs spare bedroom. The mother cat wanted her freedom so she broke through a window screen and they all followed her and jumped out the window from the second story. Over the next few days the kittens were caught again except for Lily. After 3 weeks had gone by with no sign of her,  a neighborhood feral cat found her and led her to the food that the rescuer had placed on her porch. She was hungry, skinny and weak. She was retrapped and has made a full recovery.
