Even though Gracie is young, during her spay surgery she was found to have a heart murmur which led to an ultrasound being done to investigate what was causing it. Turns out that she has a thickened heart muscle which can cause inefficient pumping or areas where the blood may not circulate well. To prevent her condition from worsening she is on medication which she takes 3 times a week. The pills are cut into quarter pieces so they are very tiny and the medication is not expensive. She is also very good about taking it.
