Sir Cheddar was outside looking for food and shelter. He was being fed by a very caring person who realized that he desperately needed a home.   This is how he became a Tabby Town cat.

When he came to us he was in rough shape, his coat was dull, his teeth were in bad condition, he  had eye infections and upper respiratory. He needed a lot of TLC which we were more than happy to give him.

After clearing up his upper respiratory, he had to have a couple of badly needed surgeries. He needed a dental, then he had to undergo eye surgery. He had entropion,  a condition where the eyelid turns inward. This may cause a number of issues including eye ulcers, perforations and infections. It can be very uncomfortable and painful because the eye lashes rub against the surface the eye.

He also is FIV+ which can affect his immune system. With a healthy diet, regular vet checkups and a stress free home, FIV+ cats can live just as long as a cat without FIV. They can also live with other cats that are not FIV+ as long as it’s a stable environment.

Today Sir Cheddar is a happy and healthy 8 year old cat who would like nothing better than to have a forever home. He has been through so much in his life and you can tell just how grateful he is for everything that has been done for him. He loves sitting in his cat tree, keeping an eye on everything going on and when you visit with him he shows you love by purring loudly and rubbing against you. He also enjoys a good game with a wand toy.
