About Us

Tabby Town, a private, nonprofit volunteer-driven organization, was formed for the purpose of increasing cat and kitten adoptions in our community.  we accomplish this in part through collaborative efforts with our local animal shelters and rescue community partners.  Our cats and kittens are brought to us from City of Buffalo Animal Shelter as well as other local organizations whenever they are at maximum capacity or unable to accept additional animals.  We are a direct source of support to them, welcoming those animals here to their "home between homes."

Our straightforward mission states that all cats and kittens in our care, regardless of how they arrived at Tabby Town, deserve good food, good health and a good home.  While these previously homeless animals are here, our organization is fully financially responsible for food, proper veterinary care, medicine, housing, socialization and a 24 supoervision for all animals on site as well as those who are currently off-site in private homes throughout the area as part of our foster care program.  That is why your donations mean so very much to us and to the cats who are here awaiting their forever homes!  Your gift goes directly toward the cost of care for our furry friends.  To date, we have successfully provided adoptive families for over 5,000 cats and kittens.

Tabby Town is actively involved in animal rescue and protection efforts in our area, sending the credible and vital message that our team and our partners find cats worthy of our investment and deserving of life saving measures to find new, loving homes.  We also work closely with our veterinary partners and the animal welfare community to decrease euthanasia across our area and eliminate unnecessary stray and feral population increase.  Please visit www.guidestar.org for more information about our organization including financial statements.
